Riikka Vilminko-Heikkinen appointed as Futurice’s Managing Director for the Nordics

Futurice has appointed Riikka Vilminko-Heikkinen as the company’s new Managing Director for the Nordics to drive international growth and strengthen its data- and AI-powered business. She began in her role in August 2025, bringing over two decades of experience in leading sales, strategic growth, and digital change across both the private and public sectors.

She joins Futurice from Gofore, where she was responsible for group sales and led their biggest business unit. She also played an active role in supporting the company’s international expansion and strategic acquisitions, including their planning and execution.

“Futurice’s international growth strategy, modern offering, and especially its strong position in data and AI impressed me immediately,” says Vilminko-Heikkinen. “Futurice has a genuine ambition to help its clients not just keep up with change—but to stay ahead of it. Vilminko-Heikkinen holds a doctoral degree in information and knowledge management. Her academic and professional background in data governance and strategic leadership strongly supports Futurice’s mission to help clients leverage data and AI to enable smarter decision-making, more agile operations, and impactful user experiences.
